Is this normal for LC pads?

I bought these pads over 6-7 months ago but have only used the orange pad maybe 2 times on 1 car and the white one probably 6-7 times. These are only used for personal useage.

Looks like your backing plates is bigger than the velcro on the pad and the backing plate is cutting into the foam. What`s the size of the pad & the backing plate?
I still don`t believe in grit guards.

I had the same problem with an orange pad a while ago. It was due to too large of a backing plate. I`ve noticed the orange foam seems most sensitive to that type of indenting and tearing.
Treat it like it`s the only one in the world.

18002 is the model number of the backing plate. It says for use with 6 inch loop balabla. I think the pads are 6.5" because thats what TOTL told me to get to work. I told them I need a backing plate and pads.

You need to use a 5" backing plate. Don`t feel bad... the same thing happened to me. IMO they should have covered more area with velcro on these pads.

I had the same thign happen to me. What i would do if i were you is call up TOL and maybe send some pics of the pads. Have them replace your broken ones with the 7.5" pads. They work soooo much better. By doing that you can keep you backing plate. They will give them to you for free too.

they need to do something because I dont feel like I should have to buy another backing plate to make the pads work. Its there fault. Not mine.

Anyone have a smaller backing plate they can trade. Maybe I will get TOTL to send me 2 correct pad sizes. I really dont want to go to a bigger pad. I think the 6.5 are big enought.

Thats probably why my PC shakes the hell out of my hands on 6.

    Here is my $0.02

I was not excited to get bigger pads but i decided to. they work alot better than the pads that you have. (i had the same ones). And best of all. they dont shake your hands.. Its very calm. think about it. Ther not that much bigger than yours. TOL will give you new ones free. free shipping as well. they are great to deal with.
