Hey guys, just some words of wisdom, watch out for some of the "deals" out there. Many you see are remanufactured. Not that I am against that by any means, I just want y`all to be informed. If I heard correctly, someone here bought one of those and has had good luck with it thus far.

I know people have had problems with the heated version getting clogged up (the heating element getting clogged up or something). would not using the heat reduce this problem with the LGCM? I`m soo reluctant to buy one because I have heard soo many horror stories.

Little Green is great. I have a comercial size extractor and I tend to use the Little Green now. The pro-heat does get clogged if your not careful. I recommend you run clean water through when the job is done and it will not clog on you. I will say this though. When it cloggs you have to take it apart and unscrew the heating element and clean it out. Get out the small wet vac, a small brush and some q-tips. It will be up and running in about 30 minutes.

    Re: little green machine

I`ve had a LGM for about 3 years and have no problems until late last year, the suction part stopped. This was a pain for me but then I got 2.5 plus years out of it and I can`t count the cars that I did with it. In other words I made my moneys worth out of it for sure.
I`m looking at a Myte this year with a 5 gallon tank I think that I have earned it.

The only draw backs to the LGM is the tanks are quite small so you have to empty and refill them often on most jobs. The hose is quite short with no extentions avaiable that I know of and I looked, so you have to move the unit around to where you want to work. If you are a weekend detailer this is a great buy for that, much above it will wear out quickly like mine.

Thank you for this advice. I now know what to do should I need to.

I went another route. I bought mine at Sears for $99.99 new. After hearing some of these horror stories, I would rather spend my time working on another car. Simply have enough clean up time with equip, pads, towels etc., so for another $15 I got an additional year of "no questions asked" return policy, in which time they simply exchange the unit for a new one. After 7 months of usage and I do clean it out after every pass, although I didn`t run a full cylce as a clean, my unit clogged up and had no spray effect etc..... I packed it up with the original packaging and went to Sears. I had my reciept the week before I took it, then put it in a place where it would not get lost. I can assure you it is still in that place as I have yet to find it. I called Sears and they were able to find my purchase in the computer and reprint the sales reciept! I went to Sears, sure enough, no questions asked, here is your new machine sir. I was asked if I wanted another warantee extension for the new machine. I said yes. I went to pay the $15 and the salesperson stated she credited me for the original one I bought, so I left Sears with a new Green Machine ProHeat with 2 years of warantee - no questions asked, return for a new one should it not function! Thanks Sears! well worth the few extra dollars.......
