Hi there. Welcome to the board.
I used the Little green machine pro that was heated. Did an ok job. The hose is kind of short.
I purchased an Aztec heated detail spotter. It costs $600. Its very similar to the dura maid or something like that. There was another guy on this forum that purchased from Aztec too. Last I heard he was still happy with the machine.
With my machine I ordered the detail tool with 16` hose and 50` cord. Check them out. Aztec web site
Good luck
That would be me and I am still happy with it
Getting "good" at a "low" price....good luck..I`ve used many extractors over the years, as I clean carpet for a living. I`ve yet to see good cheap. Just like car detailing is a process, so is carpet cleaning. Doing the correct steps before extraction is just as important as an extractor.
I agree w/ Ed on this one. If you`re serious about extracting then you gotta pony up the green . The question is does your detailing needs warrant a full hot water extractor or can you get by with cheaper means.Originally Posted by Ed Hartman
On a side note merk16, have you read the sticky posted by GSRstyles about his upholstery cleaning regeim? (sp) He`s got great methods that can help anyone. after reading his post and advice from others here I use only plain water in my extractor . So you might be able to use Oxy/APC mix with warm water and scrub then pick up w/ towels and a shop vac.
Sorry if I`m off base here... Aloha

Do you not mean $60.00 that sounds about right to me.

I bought a Mytee 8070 a few weeks ago from Rightlook and had a very nice experience. I am located in Santa Barbara which is fairly secluded from any real large-scale retailer. The closest option I had for any portable extractor was about an hour away with about 20% higher retail price. I ended up at Rightlook based upon a few recommendations and because they are about as local (San Diego) as online retailers come.
Like detaildave said, buy locally if you have the option and look at all brands. Mytee units are great but there are some other units that will meet your needs. Local warranty servicing would be nice piece of mind.
HP60 is the way to go if you are mobile and have a second had to get it out of your rig but I have not been disappointed at all with my 8070 over the past 12-14 vehicles.
Merk, Let us know what you decide on and your opinions if you can. Good luck!
-Andrew.
I like the Aztec because it weighs only 20 lbs. I`m sure it`s not THE most powerful machine but it works well and fits in my "detail rig" i.e. my Integra
