    Crystal Guard

Just wondering your thoughts on Crystal Guard. Has anyone used it? Crystal Guard.com
Seems a little pricey for me but wondering if it would be worth it.

Seems kind of "gimmicky" to me personally. The regular kit runs you $150 per application and it comes with no guarantee?!? Maintainance and a QD spray run another $110?!? That just seems crazy to me, and I am not all that impressed with the results posted on their or any of their dealers sites. Not to mention that if you want it done "professionally" with a guarantee it`ll run $400 on top of a wash and interior detail package. As far as I am concerned I will be applying FMJ every 3 months at about $1 per application.
The only plus side I can see is that if you have the market for this type of product and can sell the package quite well there is a huge profit margin to take advantage of. However I do not see many people really wanting this done when regular detailing (2-3 yearly) and washing can be just as effective.

    Re: Crystal Guard

I personally tested it when it came out and was very disappointed. I saw nor felt any improvment to the paint. It was a system that included a chemical stripper and that`s the only thing that worked as described. I really feel that this is a gimick type product , stay away from products that claim too much. MS22 made a very good suggestion about FMJ or even Zaino would be a better investment.
