    Nasty Water Marks

I offered to help a friend remove some water marks from his black, of course nothing can ever be easy, 300Z. After an initial wash this morning the spots appeared to be plentiful, more than on any two cars I have ever seen, but not really deep. OK, I figured that I would make this quick and grabbed some IP, but nothing. Time to move on and get the PG, this made a great improvement, especially along the egdes of the marks, but still not up to my OCD standards. A second pass over the hood reduced them further but they still would not remove completely. Is my only savior going to be some diamond cut or extreme cut leveler with wool? Anyone have suggestions/ideas? I told him that some people have used vinegar and he was all for it but I am somewhat skeptical and wondering about the dilution.

    Re: Nasty Water Marks

Probe, thanks for the post. We went ahead and tried the vingear about half an hour after I posted. The dilution was about 4 or 5:1 and applied by a Poorboys PVA. We did the whole car, and the hood twice, and rewashed. To my surprise the paint looked wonderful and the spots were gone, just some slight marring and dullness left from the PG. Tomorrow I am going to finish with FPII/FTG/and either FMJ or Souveran. I`ll have some pics cause it certainly has the potential to be entered in the Autogeek contest. BTW it is a 1995 on 19" HyperBlack ADR M-Sports, there are some other mods but I am not completely sure on all of them.
