Microfiber towel gets very staticky after drying (with dryer). Is this
normal? Should I use dryer sheet with it?

dont use fabric softener or a dryer sheet with microfiber, ever. It gets into the microfibers threading and hurts their absorbancy, plus it causes them to start linting. My towels come out staticky also, i just hang them up on the line for a bit (dry) and that helps out alot.
Take your towels out of the dryer while they are still damp and then hang dry. Yes, this is normal.

Exactly what I was going to recommend.

I usually do not have this problem, but the cheap MFs do big time.

The problem is worse with cheap MFs. The cheap ones will actually curl up if you leave them in the dryer for too long.
I also take mine out while they`re a bit damp. Never any static on them and they fold nicely without any curled edges.
I just give them a good snap and the static goes away. Also the same goes for cotton towels..skip the fabric softner/sheets on your bath towels and you will be amazed at how much better they dry you.
Charlie’s Soap greatly reduced the problem with static for me.
