Need suggestions for polish and wax for my white xB. Car doesn`t have any serious scratches or swirls as I`ve been the only one to wash it since I bought it. Product will be applied by hand since I don`t have the means to afford a PC quite yet.

LMK what you recommend!

Thanks!

What are you looking for? Best appearance with no regards to durability? Very durable, willing to trade some appearance? Super sharp and clear reflections? Rich and wet?

Going for a great apperance, durability be damned! I don`t mind applying the finish monthly if needed.

Looking for several different options.

Thanks! :)

I`d look into Werkstatt, Zaino, UPP and other sealant options. They tend to look best on white paint.

I`ll give the Zaino a try... heard good things about it. Will post results when finished...

I`ve got a TCB xB. I`m using the Sonus SFX-2 polish, AIO, UPP, and then some P21s over the top. Hopefully I`ll be able to do this on Saturday. I`ll let you know how it turns out.

IMO, Werkstatt looks better and is easier to use. Not sure which lasts longer though. Zaino is hard to beat with regards to durability but Werkstatt is an acrylic sealant so it is pretty good too.

Either one, you will be pretty happy.

I have to agree with Scott. I`ve also seen Meguiar`s #21 topped with natty`s blue on white work very very well

All products mentioned are nice choices. UPP is a joy to use as well.

I also like EX-P/Natty`s, #21, OCW ... cant think of anymore atm.

AIO makes a great base regardless of what you top it with, gives the finish an extra something.

It terms of sheer beading, it seems like Zaino will outlast Acrylic Jett. May not be a fair comparison as Z7 may add some polymer back into the system and Acrylic Gloss (Werkstatt`s QD was just introduced).

In terms of looks, Z8 is really the key to the Zaino system IMO. Z2Pro vs. Acrylic Jett straight, I think I prefer AJ.

You may also like to try Mothers FX Synwax on white. Some who`ve used both say it looks like Zaino but less expensive and easier to use. However, durability is about 2-3 mths compared to Zaino.

I`ve used it on my white Alfa and it looks stunning...very glossy and bright - what white needs.

Its very hard to make white `pop`, but something to keep in mind is creating contrast. Whatever LSP you choose, its just as important to dress all the black trim and tyres to make it really black, which creates a stunning contrast with the white. :up

I agree with above, the key to having white paint stand out and look awesome is to have a sharp contrast with the dark colors of the car. This includes the windows, trim, tires, wheel wells, etc etc. Having those items perfect will really show off the white paint.

As for products to use, I had great results with AIO topped with natty`s blue on a friends white corolla. Granted it`s white, so it`s not going to show your work off as much as a dark color, but when I finished in the late afternoon and the sunlight was fading, the car looking amazingly wet. you could even go so far as to throw a sealant inbetween like many here have suggested to get some extra durability out of your work.

I remembered this thread while working today-

Did this white Civic, took pics with my 35mm camera but got this one using my cell phone, so please excuse the quality...but also note the wet shine.

Vanilla Moose with a green Propel lite cut pad and Natty`s Blue by hand.
