Question for those that bought Steam Cleaner

I purchases the costco steam cleaner and have been pretty happy with it. I do have one question. I`ve been using distilled water and i`m wondering if it`s okay to leave water in it while storing it?

I follow directions, so I empty it out after each use. (tap water)
