On the way home from doing this:

My daughter convinced me to stop by one (Actually the only) of the sportscar showrooms, that we pass everytime we head to the Valley for a detail. This stood out like a sore thumb! And for only $117,000.00, they`ll throw the swirls in for free! Hows that for customer service?

I mean really, if it was my showroom, that would not be out on the lot in that condition......There were some beautiful Ferraris and other Maseratis, Lambo`s, Continental GT`s inside but I just had to take a pic and share. Its actually not anything a PC couldnt handle, and its a lot worse then the pic can reveal....

500 more details and I can have this !!

Some really beautiful cars, but that Maserati is so disappointing. Even dealers selling exotics hire hackers to save money. IMO, a quality in-house detailer is mandatory for a high end dealership to have.

That Porsche looks great BTW! Nothing beats a 911. Period.

Gotta love those Halograms! EEK!

Sadly, its prety common. Down here in San Diego, I see a lot of exotics that are REALLY REALLY bad.

A month ago I saw a black rollls royce phantom outside the mall. It was clean, but it had the worst swirl marks EVER!!! Looks like it was washed with a dirty towel. The tires had no dressing on them either. Sad that a 300k car looked like crap.

Yeah, *so* many of the exotics I`ve seen in new car showrooms were just awful :( But then just look at how poorly detailed many of them are when you see them on the road or even in shows- seems like a lot of the people who buy high end cars just don`t take care of them and I suspect that cosmetic damage like we`re talking about hardly even registers with them.

Patrick nice pics of some great cars , dealer installed swirls are pretty commen here as well. What is really bad is when the factory gives you OP at no extra cost. Here`s a $208,000 Benz with some.http://img485.imageshack.us/img485/5210/renntech8fp.jpg

You have nerves of (steel is not strong enough) TITANIUM ! :lol

However, after seeing what wife` s new black babe looks like, I will dump my 2004 MPV (silver met.) and get a black sports hatch (much likely a 2006 Renault Megane coupé or even a CC)

After all isn`t this our hobby ? There you are; black cars offer a lot of eccitement, pride, joy and when it ends up like what happened to me last evening.... anger and frustration ...

Yes sir Andrew........

I have been driving by there monthly for almost seven years and always wondered about the condition in which they show their cars. Typically I just shoot by and dream. Too bad you crushed my dreams of perfect european exotics with reports of neglect!! :sadwavey:

kursplat. . . . The auto gallery is Right between WH and Cala. 101 Northbound side as you go up the hill just before Cala Motors.
