Do you use an intermediate product (glaze, e.g. VM) between FPII and your LSP?

That would be your choice but not required. Finishing Glaze was made to go with FP and FMJ and looks great on dark colors. But since using PO85RD I have not used much glaze lately.

on darker colored cars, some members here use P085RD inbetween FPII and their LSP`s. its a really light polish that brings out amazing shine from just the clearcoat without anything on top of it.

I do not use a glaze. if you use the correct speed and pad you will get awesome results. just my two cents

I have not touched my FPII since receiving PO85RD. Not sure why anyone would use them together?

My 85RD is reserved for ME and those that spend the big dough!;) All others get FPII!!

Generally speaking, I’ll follow FPII with FTG or Sonus SFX3 to improve gloss and clarity. When time is against me and complete polishing of defects is unrealistic, a glaze is also a quick and easy way to temporarily conceal scratches. It’s certainly not the Autopian mantra, but my free time is extremely limited.

That is a question that I had. have only used the PO106FF and the results were nothing short of amazing. been using the FPII for details domne for other people. I am still wondering if I should pick up some PO85RD but kind of seems like overkill. I have PO106FF and FPII. guess I am wondering if the PO85RD would be better on my rides to have since it is milder ? samples of the PO85RD are not easy to come by.

From all that has been said on both (very similar) I would wait until you have used your 106FF before buying 85RD. FWIW

*I* don`t think that I would buy both of them. As long as you don`t have any "real" marring to deal with either will work as they both finish very well. IIRC the only difference is that 106FF has more cut than the 85RD.

Thanks for the respose. I am happy with the 106ff but wondered if I need the extra abrasives. must say it does finish very very well :woot:

Don`t really have much marring at this point. last time I used the 106ff it was on a finishing pad and it seemed to be maybe a touch stronger than FPII on a polishing pad. 106ff removed fine scratches with ease on a finishing pad but was not too agressive. love the Menzerna polishes. just like to use the least agressive product I can get away with . guess I could look on the bright side that the 106ff might save me some time since it has a little more bite

I would use FPII then go right to your LSP. It ensures everything is removed and not covered.

FPII leaves a good enough shine for me. You can use FTG, but I fell it is not necessary.

Whats is the product code on FPII? In sweden they don´t got those fancy names, Is FPII PO85U? It got PO85U bot only uses PO85RD at the moment with a very light cut polishing pad or finishing pad with great results.
