I have a GTO and the car has some aftermarket rims. This is the first year I have had to keep my car outside during the winter. I wont be driving the GTO because I have another car but I want to cover the wheels so water from snow wont just sit on the rim for days on end. I dont want to leave the rims exposed whatsoever.

Have any of you seen anything I can put on each rim/tire? I was thinking of something like the drag racers use to blow UV rays from heating up their tires.

Anyone

ive seen RV`s that usually have wheel covers on them..its like a big vinyl tarp or something, shaped to conform to wheels. you could also just wrap them with heavy duty plastic bags as best as you can. if you want to go to the extreme, get one of these car bubbles..im not sure if they can be used outside though...

You may want to visit a nearby rv store and see what`s available. I`ve seen covers that actually completely cover both the tires and wheels. Sounds like a good idea for your GTO.

ps. - I bought a brand new 1969 GTO around this time of year back in 1968. List price was about $4,100 and I payed about $3,700.
