Received a beta sample of some Chemical Guys Polish that has a long work time as Optimum Polish, but removes swirls using a PC much more efficiently given my experience on two test cars this weekend.

Here was my process for this 1999 Ford Mustang (only 20k original miles on it):

Wash car and rinse/dry, then clayed entire vehicle.

Polished car using the Beta polish with a green Excel pad, then used Chemical Guys Creme Glaze with a black Excel pad, and hand applied Smartwax.

On the chrome rims, I used Blue-B-Gone Metal Polish by Smartwax.

This is my SUV and I tried a less thick beta polish that smelt like oranges. Nice change of pace as far as fragrance of a polish goes. It seemed to provide a bit more gloss than the beta product I used on the Mustang. It still had that amazing swirl removal ability using a PC that I find lacking in OCP unless you use a rotary.

Both products were winners:

Process here was to wash and clay horizontal surfaces only, polish using an Excel orange pad, then top with XXX Hardcore Wax by CG.

OH, by the way, I wanted to see if any fillers were in the polish, and so I mixed 50/50 water and rubbing alchohol and wiped a panel down that I had just polished and saw the swirls removed. After applying the mix, then drying, I noticed no change to the nice swirl free finish I had.

All in all, once this become available, which I am told should be soon, you folks that enjoy Optimum Car Polish are in for a real treat.

was cloudy most of the weekend Pontman....and no I did not get any b4 shots. My omission in my haste to get the cars done before some anticipated rain, which never materialized.

Looks like another winner from Paul & his Chemical guy`s Team! He sent me a 16oz. sample of one of the versions of Creme Glaze awhile back. The sample I received is a glaze-sealant combo with u.v. protection. It`s a teriffic glaze that produced a deep, wet , dripping look when used on my black paint under Natty`s Blue.

Although they both are nice, I must admit that the Expedition is dripping wet on my screen. very impressive!

Someday I would like to test something new.

CG products have been affirmed by a lot of people on this site.

It is awesome that big companies like that are in tune with the changes of this art enough to keep bettering their products.

Also way cool that they will send out sample to people who are in the field.

CG`s sounds like a real decent operation, a big company with a little company`s CS.

When will any new products be avail.?

Are we saying that CG and Smartwax are one in the same?

I have not seen what your referencing. Sounds interesting.

Is it purple and smells like grape ? If so, I have some and it should be on the site for sale, but its

a Glaze and Gloss Enhancer with uv protection but has no sealant in it.

Regardless I concur with you on the wet look.

cgc2,

Yes it`s purple & smells like grape! (yummy) Paul was tinkering with a couple different versions of it & asked me which version I wanted to try. As you know, it`s not up on the CG website yet but it should be in the near future.
