I went ahead and got some 4*UGE for some of my customers that I apply UPP onto. So today I washed my car and thought, WTH..I`ll try it on mine. I have a 99Passat Windsor Blue (it`s a dark blue metallic)which has a lot of flake in it. I had 2 layers of FMJ and one of WG (on the bottom) and the UGE streaked the crap out the finish :hairpull . I had just compunded and polished the paint a few weeks ago and had gotten out maybe 95% of the paint defects and now it looked like crap again.

What gives? Is UGE only formulated to work well with UPP? I reapplied another coat of FMJ and..VOILA! back to beautiful! Any recommendations of a QD to use with FMJ? I had been using WG`s Spritz and it was good. Just wondering what else people are using to top FMJ. Thanks in advance!

Well, here`s one recommended for FMJ: High Gloss Acrylic Shield (http://www.properautocare.com/mehiglacsh.html)

Works great over FMJ. I found that the Autopia Concourse Towel does the best job!
