It is really a matter of preference. Sealants like AIO, EX-P I like to use the PC. All my carnumbas I apply by hand, s100 M16, Souveran. That is not to say that you cann`t use a PC for both. Get a glazing pad for the PC and try it out.

UPP and KSG by hand, carnaubas (except for Souveran) by PC/Cyclo. Mostly just personal preference, but IMO for carnaubas like #16 the machine is the only way to go.

I only ever use my PC for Polishing, Sealants and Waxes by hand for me.

I only apply a couple LSPs by machine-NXT Paste or liquid and Carnauba Moose Wax.

By hand for sealants & waxes. PC for polishes.

I tried using the PC for sealants, but it wasn`t as gratifying as doing it by hand. Since I`m a weekend hobbiest, I seem to want to spend the extra time and effort. :2thumbs:

Now, if I were doing it as a business, I`m sure I`d be PC`ing as much as I could. :buffing:

For LSPs, either will do - 80% done by hand. For polishing (mostly with 1Z, Megs and Soft 99 Products), half and half; especially for my own vehicles, I prefer to take my time and enjoy the workout and results I get by hand application.

I find I get thinner and more even coverage by applying both waxes and sealants with PC and finishing pad than by hand. It makes more of a difference say with #16 than S100 though.

However, sometimes I don`t bother breaking out the PC if the car has a lot of tight intricate areas or if I just "feel like" using a foam applicator by hand.
