What about 3M Show-It Wax...???

I was looking through my cleaning supplies and realized that I have a Bottle of 3M Show-It car wax. Now, I have not found much info on it here, but I do remember liking the wet look it gave to my wife`s white Honda Civic.



Again, I am going to detail my friends 1998 Red S100 Truck, and she likes "the wet look" so I am contemplating using this after AIO, and #7.

Never used the liquid version, just the paste. Nice wet shine but you have to work for it. Too thick and it streaks, keep the layers real thin and you should be okay. Durability isn`t great though, even with QEW and a lack of enviromental conditions hazardous to wax, I was lucky to get 6-8 weeks of beading.

The Paste version is a combination Carnuba and synthetic. The Liquid is all synthetic. I brought a bottle last winter and applied it to my Black Audi. IIRC the shine and slickness held up pretty well for a Western NY winter.

Seal, Polish/Glaze, then wax. Seems you have it right.

I have used the liquid version only and while it is a little harder to apply (use a PC) it is an excellent and durable wax. Highly recommended!

you need to polish (clean) BEFORE you seal the paint!!>><<.

Agreeded but he was/is using AIO which I am thinking is a cleaner and a sealer. Not having used AIO myself, what good would it do "cleaning wise" if used after polishing?

I used the paste wax. Very hard in the can, but not horrible to get on the car. It looked great after the second coat (a week after the first). Great shine. Beaded great. Lasted well.
