What do you use to apply tire dressing to your tires?? If you use a pump, spray product how do you keep from getting product on your wheel/rim ???

I`ve been using Meg`s All Season Dressing for tires lately. I apply it simply by spraying it on with the trigger sprayer, allowing it to dwell for about 10 mins, then follow up with a foam applicator pad to even it out and ensure that the dressing won`t sling.

I use those yellow foam pads to apply tire dressings. But the best applicators may be those specially designed contoured foams for tires only.

Spraying directly on a tire was hit or miss for me. Don`t try it on a windy day.

I used Eagle One applicator a couple of times to apply Meguiars Endurance High Gloss. After each use, I squeezed out the applicator under runnig warm water, so that I apply more fresh dressing next time.

It has thick handle. So it is hard to apply the dressing to the lower end part of the sidewall.

I spray on tire then spread around with EO Tire Swipe for SUVs. I wipe off any residue with a MF from the rims.

I use a dish sponge or more recently and wastefully, a towel.

I`m another user of the EO Tire Swipe. I apply my dressing of choice to the applicator and wipe onto the tire. I do all 4 tires and then go back and do it again, but without applying more product...I find this helps even the look and reduces sling.

I like Eagle One foam tire swipes. I spray my dressings on the applicator and then wipe on tire. Slinging is less of an issue and application is pretty even with it. Been using Armor All lately. NXT Tech Protectant and Endurance seem to accelerate the deterioration of these tire swipes. I admit I don`t rinse them. AA, Vinylex, and 303 don`t seem detrimental to the swipes.

agreed. i`ve been using the AA tire foam lately, and i spray a thin coat right in the middle of the tire (trying not to spray too much into the tread) and then spread around evenly bottom to top with a EO tire swipe, and i get a nice thin matte look and there`s no sling. :up

I use EO Tire Swipes with either EO Wet Shine or AA. I apply to all four wheels and wipe them down afterwards. I then move the car a few feet in reverse to get to the parts of the tires that I couldn`t reach before. I apply product to the missed spots and wipe all four down again.

Eagle One Tire Swipes.... and Meg`s Endurance.

Two passes, one with Meg`s, one without, to smooth it out.

Then I just set the tire swipe on a "retired" cotton towel until the next usage. Sucks most of the old dressing out.

Replace every couple months.
