Are outside mirrors (the glass portion) on newer cars made of plastic or glass?

Glass cleaner does not work. So do I use a glass polish or plexus to clean this up or something else?

It’s glass (generally speaking). I prefer to use cleaners like AIO or VM, as opposed to glass cleaner. Light cleansing creams are thorough and leave a bit protection.

Thanks for the tip. I don`t have VM but I`ve got AIO. I also have P21S GEPC and Lusso Revitilizing Cream both light cleansing creams.

Careful with them, because I believe some outside mirrors have a protective coating on them. I have some light swirls in my outside mirrors, and I`ve been worried about going at them with a light abrasive for fear that I`ll damage the coating (if there is one) further.
