Has anyone here used Z-PC with there random orbital buffer using a terry cloth buff pad? I`m going to be using this and would like some feedback.

The reason I ask is because it seems like foam pads are the hot thing around here. I emailed Sal about it and he said it would be just fine.

I did a little playing with it this morning on some black Honda clear and I`ll say YMMV. I wasn`t pleased with the results I got with the rotary but was absolutely stunned with the results from the Cyclo. What kind of car you working on and is the paint original?

It`s an `02 Subaru WRX, original paint.

Your Mileage May Vary

You can play around with it on that paint as it`s not as soft as what I`m dealing with here. I`d say give it a whirl with moderate pressure and then lighten up to make a final pass or two.

Ok. I wouldn`t really see why this would be a problem seeing as Sal reccomends using terry cloth on all his products... but just making sure :)

You`ll see when you try it and pull it into the sun.:D

lol yea I guess so. That`s why I`m just gonna try it first on a small section on my spoiler, and see how it turns out.

I`ll have to add that your experience my be different from mine as I haven`t used a terry bonnet on any type of orbital in a long time. From my experience with this product it is a product that likes work time as opposed to aggression. The terry bonnet is on the aggressive side so I don`t see it finishing out that well. Give it a shot and see but *I* don`t think you`re going to like the results.

So you reccomend a PC with a foam pad?

What do you think will happen if I use the terry cloth pad?

Yes, I think that would be more appropriate than the terry bonnet in this case.

The pads that this one comes with, are those OK to use?

They should be OK but none of them seems to be a polishing pad. They say that they`re the same density as the Wolfgang pads but I`ve never used them. I personally use the Meguiar`s Soft Buff pads exclusively for my PC and rotary and like the results I get from them.
