Duct tape residue on canvas convertible top

Hi, I have recently purchased a car with a black canvas convertible top. It had a small cut that the previous owner had covered with way too much duct tape. I have removed the duct tape and sewn the cut and sealed it on the inside with a bike patch kit. It doesn`t leak, but now I have the residue left. I have scrubbed with an entire bottle of Raggtopp cleaner and most of it is gone. There is still a little left. I tried dying it, and that helped a little. Any ideas on how to get rid of what is left? I looks much better, but still not quite right. I plan to replace it next spring after I have the car repainted, it has clear coat failure. Just want it to look better this winter. Thanks,
