I just got some Poorboys QD+ to try and this stuff smells horrible. I think it smells like diluted gasoline or paint thiner. Is this normal??

Mine has a Pina Colada type scent. I would contact Steve at Poorboys and see what he has to say. If there is a problem I`m sure he will take care of it. Do you have the newer formulation or have you had it a while?

Strange you should ask. I got mine last week and it smells the exact same way. I figured it was suppossed to be that way. Please post what you find.

The QD+ was reformulated at some point, I think that may be why there are different odors.

I wouldn`t expect it to smell like gasoline, because all of the Poorboy`s products I`ve tried smell great.

SSR2.5 - bubble gum

Nattys Blue - gumballs

EX-P - suntan lotion

S&G - lime (I think)

The others smell good too (maybe not SSR3...I can`t remember) but I can`t identify what they smell like.

I am going to bet that the fragrance might not of been added or forgotten to that batch maybe?

My QD+ does not have a good fragrence either, but seemed to work well. I will be paying attention to this thread.

Post your concerns on the detailcity forums in the Poorboy`s sponsor forum, so Poorboy himself can clear this up

Steve (Poorboy) answered the thread @ DC saying the last batch didn`t have any scent added. It`s supposed to smell like solvent and wax. :(

It`s still supposed to work the same way, though. :)
