The blue Propel finishing pad seems to work perfectly with RMG. It is just a touch more aggressive than most finishing pads but still not that close to a polishing pad. 3-4 passes with it on a speed of 4-5 and RMG practically disappears into the paint. :)

Sonus Blue finishing pad here for RMG, and the same results as Scott.

I use the blue Propel pads with RMG as well. Usually speed 4 for any cleaners/glazes.
LC grey pads for me on speed 4.

i have LC pads, is the black glazing pad any different than a red finishing pad?

Out of intrest why would you want to use VM on a cutting pad?

simple, it`s similar to SSR1, did not have my sonus blue or green avail at the time.. and it worked quite fine..
another detailer applied WG x 2 with Orange LC pad on his car the other day speed 3-4 and it too worked fine..
there may be specific rules you all use, but the Orange pad with reduced speed on a porter cable does the job more than sufficiently

How much more bite did it give the VM over using it on Sonus Green? What colour paint did you use it on?

I would be afraid of hazing caused by the pad, if you`re applying a sealant via a cutting pad.

I`m not afraid, with these results ? WG x 1 an orange pad.. went on smooth and no problems.. http://www.simonjagassar.com/Web%20Images/2005%20Mini%20Pics%20-adobe/images/DSC00889.jpg
