Trying to decide which Edge combo to order. 6" Edge dual action or Edge 2000 8". What is the difference? What type do you use and why?Any other comments on these products would be great.I`m using a PC 7424 and Dewalt variable 849.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

For rotaries, I`d say it`s just personal preference, mine being for 6" pads. For the PC I believe that even 6" pads are a little much; for correction I greatly prefer 4" pads. Large pads tend to make the PC "bog down" and "just jiggle" with any applied pressure. So between 8" and 6" I`d go with the 6" ones.

I use the 6" Edge 2000 pads with the PC and 8" Edge 2000 pads on the rotary . :buffing:

Personally, I find it depends on the car you are detailing makes adifference aswell..

If it`s a larger car you have, then the 8" pads will make short work of it. But for smaller cars, I find the 6" pads easier to manage.

if you had to choose between the two?? I`d go for the 6" pads. But like Rollman, I like using the 8" pads with my rotary, and 6" pads with my RO/DA

If it`s for a PC, the 6" pads are what you want.
