I just got a new set of Foose Speedsters. They have about a thousand rivets. I want to seal them before I mount the tires and keep them looking new. My last chrome rims failed after 11 months, there was no preparations done to this set (pre Autopia days) The rims were sealed after they were a couple of months old with Z2. I think they were just poorly chromed and the company replaced them under warranty. After doing several searches I am still confused.

I have AIO , Z2 and Z5 here now. It seems like AIO and Z2 should be enough.

Guide me great masters!

I guess the 2nd most important question is; How do you get sealant on/off of all those *@#!! rivets? :wall

303 protectant can be used on chrome. Remember the chrome is not clearcoated like most non-chrome wheels. Many of the sealants designed for clearcoats might not work too well on chrome. I would just leave them alone, and keep them clean all the time. Good chrome plating is pretty durable just as long as you dont expose it to a lot of road salt. In your case, I think it would be sea spray that you will have to worry about:)
