I tried a lot of different things on the above door.

(wg orange pad by hand)

Sonus SFX-1

Sonus SFX-3

PB SSR 2.5

PB SSR 2.0

PB SSR 1.0

Scratch-X

I tried the above multiple times (passes) and was able to remove some very nasty stains on the clear coat (greese mud) but the scratches I just COULD NOT get out. I`m wondering if it`s because 1. I`m doing it by hand or 2. I don`t have anything abrasive enough (SSR3?)

The "AFTER" pictures are after klasse twins.

How would YOU remove the scratches? (by hand for now if possible no PC yet).

Great improvement by hand! This is a job for a rotary. Orange pads are not that agressive. you could try a cutting pad and the 2.5. Or get the SSR3 or its equivalent and use it with the cutting pad.

a rotary is going to dig in more into the clear and remove the swirls.. best to have someone who knows how to use it

i`ve never had luck removing swirls and scratches as such with a porter cable.. but maybe after some 10-15 hours you may be able to reduce them.. as opposed to remove them..

rotary -remove

porter cable - reduce

that`s how i see it..

just my $.02
