One of my Pakshak Blue Waffle Weaves has ended up in the wash with some regular stuff and of course the dreaded fabric conditioner softener :( Is there anything I can do to save it when the cycle is done or is it too late?

Cheers

I don`t really know, but I`d just try to wash it again right afterward, to get the softener out of it. It may or may not save it, but it`s worth a shot.

Fabric softener will not ruin the WW, MF or cotton towels. The avoidance of fabric softeners is because this will cause a noticable film when used on paint, especially dark colors.

No biggie.

Just re-wash and everything will be okay.

You may also try using vinegar in the rinse, so as to help with rinsing all the residue out of the fibers.

Good point BigLeegr.

I use white distilled vinegar with every wash and rinse of my loads of MF`s. :wavey

Another vote for vinegar - use it every rinse with all towels

Do you just soak the towels in vinegar? ...or pour vinegar in where you would usually stick your powder?

You would use the vinegar in place of a fabric softener. If you add it manually, you would do it during the final rinse.

I add vinegar to the machine as it is filling for both the wash cycle (with detergent) and second rinse cycle.

on the final rinse cycle, i add vinegar as well to get rid of all the detergent. haven`t had any problems with any of my mf`s/ww`s. :)

How much vinegar do you put in? I`m gonna try this with mine later today :)

About 1/4 cup for a full load.
