Hi lads.

Anyone ordered a PC from these guys?

p&p is £28.43 so £111.76 total.

Despite the .co.uk domain, it`s a US company.

BTW, what`s the difference between the 7424 and the 7336SP (apart from £1.39)?

Duty could be a killer on that - unlike when buying from autopia :)

Unless Porter Cable go to the expense of getting CE certified I would doubt we will see them for sale in the UK.

I e-mailed the UK distributor of Porter-Cable products - a company called Corroy Products limited (http://www.porter-cable.uk.com/) - about a 230v CE-certified version and got this reply:

Hi since Black and Decker Dewalt took over Porter cable they have been looking at that exact possibility as for when it will be in 2006 before we will defintly know

Lowejackson`s right, plus if your buying direct from the UK and it`s not certified it certainly won`t have any kind of warranty to fall back on if it goes wrong...... Somewhere like Autopia would probably accomadate it if there was a prob but you also lose the manufacturer warranty anyway as soon as it leaves the US.

That could be great news depending on pricing

If I was in the market now, I would not wait. A PC really is such a great tool, waiting will only make you wonder why you did not but one sooner

Motorgeek is selling them, I suspect he doesn`t realise that he is not permitted to do so due to CE issues.
