My friend just asked me how to take of the sticky glue after peeling the tint off. Any ideas on what works best ? its old tint off of a integra if that matters.

Thanks and Aloha

heat gun and a razor blade is the fastest and easiest way

Goo-Gone usually works well on removing adhesive, or you can even use lighter fluid.

I REALLY like Goof Off Professional Strength. I`ve gotten all kinds of sticker adhesive off with it, and it looks like it was never there.

A friend of mine that tints for a living uses a steamer to get the old tint off. I`ve used razor blades and soapy water in the past.

I have used all the above and I would say the soapy water and razor blade has been the easiest for me.

I`ve found this on a tinting forum. I hope this helps.

This is one time that it paid to live in a cold weather area.

I got busted for illegal tint on the DS & PS windows on my Accord last February when it was single-digit cold. I scraped the tint off with a razorblade & most of the adhesive (probably frozen) came off with it. The remaining adhesive came off in a little ball just by rubbing in one direction with my finger.

Finished off with some 0000 steel wool & Windex (which was freezing pretty fast).

Kinda like taking off the adhesive on the back of a credit card when you get a new one glued to a form.

Doesn`t help you Hawaiianelement but it`s good information.
