Worked on a buddies Lexus IS300 today. I used collonite`s IW again, and it looks wicked.

The paint had horrible swirls for a silver car, and even SSR3 wouldn`t remove all of them!!!!!! Though I thought he`d rather have a clear coat, than a totally swirl free car. :LOLOL

Processess:

Wash

Clay

Scrub with de-tar`

SSR 3 on cutting pad via PC

Automagic Swirl Remover via rotary at 1500rpm on polishing pad

Topped with Collonite IW by hand

Rims got IW as well

Great job as usual! Make sure to keep us posted on IW`s durability if you can. I`ve been trying to clean the inside of really dirty wheels and was wondering what you use and what is your method.

Steve how do you like the Automagic swirl remover and would it be any good used with a PC, by the way excellent job as usual.

I personally don`t care for it much. Doesn`t "swirl remove". :hairpull

Nice work as usual. Always was a fan of those rims.

Method:

Scrub like a mofo....top with a water based dressing.

:2thumbs: Dangit. I have a bottle of IW sitting on the shelf, never used. Now that I see these awesome pictures of it (on silver, no less), I guess I`m not sitting around this weekend! Thanks for spoiling an otherwise restful weekend. :waxing:

Very nice work :up . It looks like you use ssr 3 often, I have been as well lately. I`ve noticed that if I work it till it starts to become transparent it leaves no hazing and shines up nicely. Anyhow awesome work.

I need a sample. Does Optimum has anyone that would send me a sample before I send out the big bucks for a gallon? I`d also like to compare my times with it on the PC and the rotary...hmmmm :work:

$15 a quart, it isn`t very expensive. I`d be willing to trade some Optimum (4 oz sample size) for a similarly sized sample of Collinite 845. ;)

I only have a sample myself, so that won`t work. :idea :furious:
