Update**

Worked on a corvette today, in horrible shape, and was recently hauled in from Florida.

Processes:

Wash

Clay

SSR 2.5 on Rotary at 1500 RPM`s with cutting pad

Meg`s #82 via rotary on polishing pad at 2000 RPM

Topped with 2 coats of Insulator Wax

No befores because it was raining, and horrible afters due to a thunderstorm looming in the distance:

Before of the swirls in horrible lighting:

A double post for what reason?

edit: Sorry about that Steve. Just thought it was a link.

Nice work though. Why 2000 rpm with SFP?

Nice job Stevo ! The swirls looked almost as prominent as a 2000 grit westanding ..

Sorry, I might have gotten your name confused w/ another person here on Autopia, but did you just recently buy a rotary?

IIRC, you were the one that stated you only detailed a couple months of the year, and didn`t want to pay for insurance.. so you opted just to use the PC?

How do you like it? Did you practice on some junkyard panels, or your own car before you tackled this customers car?

Is it as big of a leap in terms of performance as ppl are saying it is? ie. Is this now your preferred tool for polishing cars?

Not that big of a leap. I`m still learning, so I can still do defect removal quicker with my PC.

Nice work Steve... Yellow really makes a sports car JUMP out at ya, especially detailed as nice as the one you did.

Stunning! Yellow can be a real tough color. Very wet looking!

My pad was a little wet from the wash, so I had to speed `er up to make the product dry a little faster. Worked really good surprisingly.
