Hey everyone,

I`ve been reading the forums for a while and so I finally registered.

Let me tell a little about myself.

My name`s Dave and I currently work for Capital Technology Center, which is a subsidary of Capital Ford in Raleigh, NC. I am their Certified Senior Paintless Dent Repair Tech and Senior Surface Care Specialist. I`ve been trained by PDQ tools, Meguiar`s, and countless other companies to further my knowledge in Care Care.

I will soon be moving to San Antonio, Texas in September. Anyone need a quality and honest tech?

I am crazy about Cars, Detail, and, PDR......so I do what I love.

Till next time!

Rollman,

I beleive they did a good job. They teach you the basics, but you gotta learn from there. It took me a good year before I got decent enough to feel 100% comfortable on a customers car, which is about the right amount of time.

I went in with no knowledge of the technology and came out with most of my questions answered, but I know anytime I`ve got a question, JD is there. Their customer support is absolutely awesome!

Their tools are a little on the high priced side, but then again, you get what you pay for. I`ve got a set of cheap tools that rusted all over and I`ve got a set of PDQ tools that remain shiney. They really take pride in what they do.

Once you gain enough experience, you`ll realize though that it is not the type of tools you have, but your skill with what you have. I`ve taken out dents with screwdrivers and bottle caps (just to prove a point to PDR newbs).....cheap and common tools sometimes work as well as expensive ones.

Hi Dave,

I live is SA as does my friend Ron who owns Dents and Details. If you come to SA for work in PDR and detailing then you may want a back up career choice, sad to say.

PDR work, just like the tint film industry and now the PPF industry, is being whored out to the lowest bidder and people looking for and willing to pay well for top notch detailing and PDR work are few and far between.

You might find some dealer work and you may also want to see if the new Toyota plant is hiring an in-house PDR person, that would be a sweet job I am sure :xyxthumbs

Well didn`t want to burst your bubble or nothin, just wanted to make you aware.
