I am undecided between the 16oz and the 32oz bottles. The bigger one represents a better value but I will probably only use it twice a year. We do have 2 cars (2000 Eclipse & 95 Jeep Cherokee) so how much product do you think an average detail would use for those and long is it good for?

Just the the 16 ounce bottle. The shelf life will outlast your vehicles but why buy more than you will need?

So, 2 details twice a year will not use very much product?

On average you will use 2-3 oz per car/ per detail. With that said you will use at least 8oz per year. You should be OK with a 32oz bottle for a shelf life of 3-4 year.
