So I always here silicone products are bad for tires, dash, rubber, etc..... and waterbased products are better. Why? Or are they really. Would like to hear the pro`s and con`s of each.

There are different kinds of silicone, some are water base. Almost all car waxes and protectents have some sort of silicone in them.
