milky_08- OK, thanks for letting me know. I only tried the consumer version with an older version 1" of UPP and I had minor smearing issues. Nothing really awful, but enough that it might`ve bugged somebody with, say, a black car. I switched to the current version of UPP at the same time that I switched to the Pro version of MP, so with both variables changing at the same time all I knew was that the one combo smeared and the other didn`t. Now I`ll assume that the consumer MP (which is remaining in production, unlike my beloved Pro MP) and the current version of UPP work fine together. Thanks again.

I still have 3/4 a bottle of the old UPP. It was quite a bit thicker and had a creamy consistency. First time I tried it on black, it seemed to leave a shadowy residue after buffing off. Like smears had dried onto the paint. Since it was so long ago I couldn`t tell you what was causing the problem.

Using a blue finishing pad on the PC for applying the UPP - sound ok? Buffing it off with an MF bonnet on an orange pad - ok too? What speeds for both - around 4 be ok?

I got smearing with Klasse SG like you mentioned above, I went over again using a misting of Sonus acrylic spritz and they disappeared.

Do you think Klasse AIO then UPP x2 would be a good combo? I tried RMG then UPP on one panel today using the PC and is was very slick - just trying to get the best base for UPP?

that sounds good too. prior to using 1z MP I used AIO as a base for UPP :) looks really good, with even better durability.

OK - I used RMG and UPP for the whole car today, and it came up great! I prepped the paint with SSR2, Scratch-X, etc. and also used the new Sonus ultra-fine clay and lube for the entire roof, came up glass smooth, so worked very well. I then applied RMG to half the car, then UPP - while the UPP was bonding, I did the other half of the car with RMG, so by the time I was done I could buff the first side - I let it sit for 30 mins before I buffed it off.

I used the PC on speed 4 with a Megs polishing pad for the RMG and a finishing pad for the UPP, all buffed off by hand with Megs Supreme Shine MF towels. Here`s some pics:

The roof after clay, RMG and UPP - no swirls or marks at all - I love it!

Very sharp reflections!

Thoughts? RMG is very easy to use, on/off with minimal effort and seemed to deepen the colour of my car. UPP is so easy to use, unlike Klasse SG it buffs off by hand very easily, the longer you leave it the easier it seems to come off. The surface feels very slick indeed, more slick than anything else I`ve tried yet - I like it ALOT for it`s ease of use and results.

The new Sonus ultra-fine clay and Glyde lube is very, very good - I did my entire roof no problem (in 4 sections) and it came up glass smooth, the Glyde lube is very nice to use too. My roof was only a little bit rough but it came up really smooth, you could see what came off on the clay!

Overall RMG, UPP and Sonus ultra-fine clay get big thumbs up from me - they all work great!!!

Anything worth topping UPP with - CMW or Souveran make any difference, add to the wetness?

I don`t like topping UPP with anything, I find it takes away the slickness and doesn`t do anything to improve the look.

Cool - I`ve ordered some 4* UGE spray from PakShak to maintain the UPP. The new Sonus detailing spray could work well with it too.

After 3 days of heavy rain the UPP is doing a great job, rain just will NOT stay on the paint! I used the new Sonus Detailing Spritz on one side of the car before the rain came last week, and both sides look the same, slickness feels the same (if anything the spritz side might be slightly slicker) - so this new spritz seems to work well with UPP, thumbs up from me.
