I`ll do the best I can to describe what this stuff looks like as I don`t have the ability to post pics.

Recently I`ve been leaving my boat parked in my driveway and there`s a tree right above it. The tree is either oak or maple. I`ve noticed every so often these brownish spots or stains on the boat`s surface. It kind of has the color of maple syrup, but not as dark, and it`s not sticky like sap either. Another way of describing it would be the look of a coffee stain. The stuff usually will wash off with soap and water, but some look like they have soaked through the fiberglass as washing alone will not get rid of them. IPA does nothing either. I notice these spots the most right after it rains, as the boat is covered with this stuff.

So, my question is this: Is this sap or something else? I thought sap would be clear looking, as I`ve had sap in the past on my windshield, but it was clear, not brownish in color like what I`m experiencing now.
