Has anyone tried this product? I found it on the Autopia store site...

It sounds pretty interesting. I`m constantly searching for something that will make the plastic fender flares on my Tacoma look good AND last through a rainstorm or two.

From what the description says it , it`s acually an acrylic wax sealant. It even says it works on textured plastic (which my flares are).

Missed that when I ordered the other day, damn one for next time.

Tempted to try it - how would I remove it if I didn`t like the look and did want to remove it?

I`m also tempted to try it. May have to order it soon. As far as removing it, I would think a normal all purpose cleaner or degreaser would remove it from plastic/rubber surfaces.

If it applies anything like good ol` EK, I`d apply it only with a sponge or applicator. I`ve found even the best sprayers get clogged. After a while EK looked like white glue. A simple shake of the bottle and applying it to wheel wells with a sponge solved the problem.

For detailing the engine, the small craft sponges are perfect. Lets you get in all of the small spaces without having to worry about overspray from a nozzle.

I wonder if a sponge or applicator would work. The directions in the description say to spray it on the surface being treated and "DO NOT WIPE".

It sure does, at least with Engine Kote which I understand is an extremely similar substance.

I try not to spray anything dressing wise directly on so hopefully it can be wiped on.

I`m sure it can be.
