Almost done with the cars at the law office with no shade...just 4 more to go. ;)

Did these three last week. At least it was partly cloudy this time, except when I wanted to take pics so all ended up being full sun shots. Due to time constraints and people needing their cars, I wasn`t able to wait for better lighting.

Anyway, all three with Clearkote`s Vanilla Moose with a Meguiars polishing pad and Poorboy`s EX-P by hand.

2002 Jeep Wrangler. Neighbor of a regular customer. Pretty decent shape overall, but had never been waxed. Suprisingly, the paint was very smooth, although obviously not slick at all. Just had to lightly clay a couple areas.

I QEW washed the fenderwells and dressed the tires and fenderwells with Armor All.

Like I said, paint was in really excellent condition for not having been waxed for 3 years. Polished with Klasse All in One using a Meguiars polishing pad and sealed with Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket Sealant (very nice product, if durability is as impressive as the appearance, I`ll be ordering some!). Polished all plastic windows, bumpers, step tubes, etc with Vanilla Moose by hand and dressed all trim with Meguiars #38 Trim Gel. I used Optimum Interior Protectant on the vinyl top. Gave it a subtle sheen and really turned out nice. :)

2005 Infiniti G35. Had some pretty deep spider swirls on the hood, rest of the car wasn`t as swirled. The owner bought the car new but I can`t help thinking the hood may have been repainted prior to him taking the car, just was so much more swirled than the rest of the car. :nixweiss

Anyway, polished it out with Detailer`s Pride Super Swirl Eliminator with a burgandy Meguiars cutting pad, then the hood two more times with Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze and a Meguiars polishing pad, then the whole car with Vanilla Moose with a Meg`s polishing pad and topping with Poorboy`s EX w/carnauba. Came out really wet and deep. Wanted to get more shots (sun shots) but he needed to be somewhere and my kids and I had tickets for that night`s Ranger`s game and I didn`t finish until an hour before the first pitch.

Finally, the 2006 Dodge Charger R/T. Sold his `02 AMG S55 and bought this. He seems to like the Charger more so far.

Brand new, really good paint. Just some light claying on the horizontal surfaces and sealed with Poorboy`s EX-P.

Lastly, just a shot of my younger son Jason helping out. I only have them here for a couple more weeks then Jason goes back to Kentucky for his junior year in high school and my older son Chris goes on to college in Greenville, Ill. They`ve been a huge help this summer. :)

BTW, notice how nicely a nearly 3 month old application of FK1`s Pink Wax still looks. ;)

Never seen a Jeep that good looking! Very nice Scott.

I also really like FMJ. So far durability has been pretty good, but I`ve only gotten to 5-6 weeks before being tempted to add another coat, because it`s so easy to use. Slickness seems to fade a bit after a few washes, but it depends what kind of shampoo you use.

Menzerna Acrylic Shield can also be used to boost FMJ, as it restores slickness to near 100%. The product seems to blur the line between QD and spray sealant. I`ve gotten streaking issues with it on black, but it may be some kind of interaction with the Z7 I used to wash.

Justin, thanks for the heads up on Menzerna Acrylic Shield. :)

Definitely impressed with FMJ so far.

nice jobs, i especially like the black infiniti. it be interesting to see what kind of durability you get out of the FMJ. for me, it usually lasts only about a month.....before i either strip it to do it over or put some trade secret on it. :p

Detailing in T-Mac IV`s :) (I`m a shoe fiend as well).

EX and EX-P both look great on black. Your shots really contrast the differences nicely. Wet vs. reflective.

GORGEOUS details Scott!! :2thumbs: It must be really nice having your sons come along with you as detailing gives you plenty of time to talk while you work.

Hard to believe your customer went from an AMG to a Dodge...that`s certainly a new one. How do you do Jeep wheel wells with QEW? Do you spray it?
