Is it ok to hit side mirrors with flowing water during a wash? Will water going behind the mirror harm anything back there?
Any advice as to how to prevent water from getting in there (if it`s bad)?

your mirrors are in the open when it rains arent they? Flowing water shouldnt be any problem other than its a pain in the butt to get all the water back out before waxing or polishing. I havent had any problems over the years.

You`re right...but rain doesn`t compare to the water flowing out of a hose... I have an electric leaf blower to take care of the remaining water. :D
