There are two great places for geting MFs (microfiber towels) ... Excel Detail (http://www.exceldetail.com/) and Pakshak (http://www.pakshak.com/). There are more, but I have experience with these. I have Ultra MFs, Ultra Fine MFs, and a WW drying towel from Pakshak and some Supreme MFs from Excel Detail, and they`re all great. And Patrick (Excel Detail) and Ranny (Pakshak) are excellent to do business with :2thumbs:

Locally (Pep Boys), you can get the Meguiar`s "Supreme Shine" MF that folks here have raved about. I plan on picking up a couple soon.

Do a search, and you`ll get a lot of info!

pakshaks are the favorable mf`s that everyone seems to be happy with on here and ranney is a great and down to earth guy to deal with. ----> www.pakshak.com & http://www.pakshak.com/micropak.html

I`m telling ya. You can disagree with me but I don`t think there`s a difference in brands to much. Besides Pakshak`s and Excel. The rest are all Korean and Chinesse cheap material. I really like Concours Buffing towel for waxes, AIO and SG. Using other MF`s with them I have to use more pressure when I have a build up, but not with the concours buffing towel. I own 4 of them and about 16 other polish MF`s and 4 MF drying towels. I like the Sonus Drying towel the best with the blade.

i`m going to have to disagree with you. i have the viking blue microfiber drying towel (very plush with two different sides and nearly identical to the ultra-plush mf`s, but bigger), and it`s just as good if not better than the many mf`s i have (pakshaks, etc...) and it`s made in korea.

Just got pack of the tropical breeze mf`s from autopia-carcare, great value and do a great job, very soft and plush. They are being discontinued, US$7.75 for six.. :)

I was under the impression that all the best MFs were made in Korea.

The Chemical Guys sell some pretty solid MFs for cheap. I think I pay around 20 bucks a dozen, and they`re on par with my Cobras and almost as good as PakShak towels. I have not noticed any micromarring when using them on paint (even on a black car), and they`re quite plush. I still like my Poorboy`s XL velvet smooth towel best, but that was like 10 bucks for one, whereas these are 90% as good at a dollar eighty apiece.

Not the ones I use. DF Towel (http://www.dftowel.com/). I bought an assortment of of these all natural AlpineFiber towels from Leo and have been very pleased with them. IMO they offer all the advantages of 100% cotton towels (soft, easy to care for) with the advantages of a traditional MF towel. They are outstanding for QDing, cleaning, polishing and buffing. Now that they have broken in they are good for drying too, as long as I sheet the water off with an open ended hose and blot the water before wiping. For I`m going to try a set of Pakshak WWs and see how they compare for drying purposes.

The DF Towels are very easy to care for and are nice and soft. I haven`t noticed any marring at all and the edges are lined in silk. They are high quality towels that I highly recommend and are made in the USA. :2thumbs: :usa

The 25 x17 and 16 x 16 Chemical Guys towels are hard to pass up.

A great towel at a great price I have a few I have been using for over a year and they quality really holds up wash after wash.

Great quality I would say better then the Cobras and at half the cost.

PakShak has some nice stuff too.

I got some from Walmart for about $1.50 each (8 for $5). They were made in china but still work great and feel really soft. I`m not shure how much better they can be. They wash well too.

"Our micro fiber towels have gone through several tests and analysis, and quality inspections by Korea Textile Inspection & Testing Institute (KOTITI). A prominent textile testing institute in Korea." http://pakshak.com/about.html alot of the towels/mf`s that are made there, are good/excellent quality!

The chinese MF`s are the worst IMO and korean microfibre varies. South Korea produces the better ones however

I believe that there are still some MF`s made in italy and parts of europe and of course the USA.

Personally my favourite is PAKSHAK but will be testing excel`s very shortly.

From what I`ve been told, they are as good as sonus but much cheaper
