Hello, I`m totally new to even washing cars, but I`m a seasoned pro for doing mods. I have a Torch Red 2005 Mustang GT Convertible with a black top and graphite leather interior. I’ve checked out the search function to look for tips on how to wash my car, keep her waxed and make her shine, but I keep getting this error.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/autopia.org/httpdocs/forum/search.php on line 975

That being said, can anyone either point me to a thread that explains from start to finish how to properly wash, wax and sparkle up the exterior, wheels and roof. I’d need to know things like what products to use, how to use them, what they do and any specific techniques.

I have a bucket, a hose, a chamois, a sponge and the will to learn. Consider me the grasshopper eager for knowledge. If you’re just going to flame me please go elsewhere.

Thanks.

First bit of advice. Trade your sponge for a good sheepskin mitt and trade your chamois for a good microfiber or waffle weave towel. That will slow up any chance of marring as you pick up your skills.

Next you need a car wash soap or shampoo (you can start with over the counter brands such as Meguiars or Eagle One).

Also if you do a google search or search this site you`ll find articles on just how to do it.

Being new to detailing, you really should also download David`s ebook. It`s FREE! Here`s the link (http://autopia-carcare.com/freeguide.html). VERY informative :2thumbs: It`ll answer a lot of questions.
