Guys, I have a cheap Vector rotary buffer, but I`m considering buying a PC. I can decently use the rotary, but it`s always alot of work because of the splattering. Also, its really more than I need for an occasional polish of my car. Would getting a PC be worth it, or maybe a cylco? I`d rather not spend the money for a cylco, and it`s not like I detail other people`s cars, I just do my own. Any suggestions?

In your cause, I agree with you, the Cyclo would be a little much but the PC is a great tool for everyone from a hobbyist, enthusiast, to a professional. I couldn`t live without mine.

The PC pays itself off in the long run because you will spend less effort polishing. I got a 7336 from lowe`s last week and the first time I used it I was blown away at how easy it is to use and how evenly it can apply waxes.

Just be prepared for anoying neigbours saying, your wear a hole in your paint, and other such things. It was bad another with the regular washing, but since getting the PC it drives me nuts.

No brainer! When I switch from my rotary, which I only use occasionally, to my PC, there is as big sight of relief. It is so easy to use and relaxing in comparison. The splatter issue almost dissappears, as does the fear that something might go amiss.

Been detailing cars for 45 years. Bought my PC 10 years ago and it is clearly the best detailing tool I`ve ever purchased. Cuts my detailing time by a factor of 10. This device is rugged and lasts forever. I wish I`d had one back in the Blue Coral and Simonize days.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I was wondering if a PC would be worthwhile since my rotary can probably tackle worse paint defects, but if it`s that much easier to use, I`ll go for it!

:rofl I think all of us can relate to that on some level. Neighbor across the street would always say `You`re gonna wash all your paint off, boy!`
