I plan on claying(pinnacle) my car this weekend and dont really want to use the clay spray(too much $). What car wash shampoo do you peps recommend I use while claying my car?:bounce

I like NXT, but pretty much anything with good lubricity will work.

A few drops of any carwash shampoo in water will work just fine. If it is not slick enough, ad a few more drops.

There seem to be clay/shampoo pairings that work and others that make the clay go "mushy". I haven`t tried the Pinnacle clay, but some "yellow" clays I`ve used (Griot`s and IIRC Mother`s) are sensitive to wash solutions. You`ll know soon enough if your combo is a good one or not (and if not, use the lube).

Yeah my Mothers clay starts to come apart in my hands if I use car soap and work on a really bad car. I still use a few drops of NXT with distilled water for clay lube though.

I made two batchs of clay lubricant one made of Meguiar`s #00 and the other made of Meguiar`s #62.

Both mild and effective.

I use a few drops in a 32oz spray bottle, and fill the rest with distilled water.
