I really want to try the Menzerna Po85RD and PO106 polishes to remove my marring and not just hide it. I wanted to know if these can be used on just about any car paints.

I have a 98 Black Toyota Camry. Will *these* Menzerna Polishes work well on Toyota Paint??

If you have any experiences with these polishes, Do share you thoughts. Thanx. :)

PO85RD is the only finishing polish that I currently use - via rotary, there is not a product on the market that can touch it for gloss. I`ve used 85RD on my dad`s 99 Camry, and it came out looking great (sorry, no pics at the moment).

You can use on clear coats no problem.. I just did my RX8 with PO85RD and I did not want to put anything over it. So smooth glossy no swirls or scratches. GO FOR IT... I put 2 FMJ`s and then 2 coats Souveran Paste Wax ... Looks great.

IS PO85RD just a finish type polish, or will it remove swirls, etc itself?

This is abit off topic but, A pure carnauba can be put over FMJ????

SVT - Yes, its a pretty mild SMR, but I`ve worked stuff out with it and a polishing pad. Its more pad than compound doing the cutting.

Mystic - yup, FMJ tops great. You can top anything with a carnuba. Don`t top it with KSG, or anything with cleaners, but other than that, go ahead. I`d reccomend FK1 Pink if its not red or black, or souveran if it is.

Man this is great. Thanx themightytimmah,

Where are the Ceramiclear polishes selling cheapest online. I`ve seen it for about $44.95 and PO106 for $49.95

I`m tight on $$$ right now so I need to be frugal.

SVT - it has a little cutting power. using my PC, a polishing pad, and P085RD, i was able to reduce some marring from my car cover a little (enough to notice). i think ranney said it`s between PB`s SSR 2 and SSR 1.

mystickid - i doubt you`ll find it any cheaper than those prices. i forgot to mention, i think the P085RD is the only one of the two that can work with a PC. for PO106 you`ll probably need a rotary for it to work well. so if anything, get the PO85RD. and get a polish like PB`s SSR 2.5 or something similar.

Ok,

So I have 7 yr. old paint with alot of "cob-webbing" scratches.

So I plan to use via rotary SSR2.5 --> PO106ff --> PO85RD

Does that sound right? Do i need to use *both* of the Ceramiclear polishes or do i need SSR2 in there as well?

Please help.

Aloha mystickid,

You should be able to complete your detail in three steps.

SSR2.5 -->PO85RD-->LSP (sealant or carnauba or sealant/carnauba).

The SSR2.5 does a really nice job and it breaks down pretty easily with a PC. The PO85RD will definitely provide you with the final polishing step to really bring the gloss back up on the paint. And it will leave your paint finish really smooth and clean. And your ready for your last step product. Whether it is a sealant or carnauba wax or you can apply a sealant and top it off with a carnauba wax.

So you wouldn`t need SSR2 or PO106FF.

With Aloha,

Ranney :)

Aloha Pakshak :),

Thanx for the help. I want to use Red Moose Machine Glaze after PO85RD, can I use the RMG after PO85RD and top with a carnauba???

In what situations is PO106FF used??

Thanx again. I wish I were in Honolulu. cheers.

I would leave off the SSR2.5.... be gentle on how you use the polishes. They will work wonders...
