Has anyone had any experience with the 2 gallon Dewalt shop vac? I was thinking it would be good for cleaning up inside the car and for jobs where a big unit would be fairly pointless.

How is the suction? Any good or bad design features I should worry about?

I actually prefer my house vacuum over the shop vac. I have a Dyson vacuum that looks like a space ship. Never clogs, has more suction than ANY shop vac I have ever seen!

Of course you suck water into it.

and it`s perfect for a quick cleaning. I use an 18v battery in it works well. You can switch the hose to the opposite side and use it as a blower too if that`s worth any "cool" points. The suction power is moderate at best... not really meant to do deep cleaning, just visible dirt and small pebbles.

Besides it`s good mobility, you can always plug it into an AC outlet.
