I have to detail a new F-150 King Ranch edition that has some dark leather seats. What kind of conditioner do I use? I don`t want to mess these bad boys up!

I use Griots leather care. It doesn`t darken the leather too much and restores the feel and the smell. Put it on thin and work in into the leather, wait a few minutes then "buff". It doesn`t really put a shine on the leather, just removed the residual product that didn`t get worked in.

I know that not all of the Griot`s product are too good, but this one is a winner

Until I get some advice from Ford or from a person that has treated these seats before I`m not gonna touch them. I don`t think they`d be cheap to replace!

What about Four Star Leather Conditioner and Cleaner?

Can`t help with specifics on this one but anytime I run across something I`m unsure of I test on a small, "inconspicous" area and wait awhile and do something lese and come back and check. Now I know why so many products state this:D . Yeah you definetly don`t wanna learn the hard way with those. As far as cleaning woolite/water is about as mild as you can get. Spray a touch of water on it and see if it beads or soaks in, if it beads its coated and I`m pretty sure any good leather conditioner would work. Hope that helps:xyxthumbs. But maybe with some experience with that particular leather can chime in.

I believe the King Ranch leather is just aniline leather. It is dyed using a transparent dye instead of a pigment coat. Top of the Line has leather products for all types of leather including Nubuck.

It is Castano Leather but I believe that is just the "brand" so to say.

I myself have a kingranch (hence the name), and the best stuff I`ve found is called Leather CPR (http://www.leathercpr.com/) . It works wonders with my leather, and you can even pick it up at a Petsmart (provided they have a horse section). I believe you can find other places that sell it from the website.http://img100.exs.cx/img100/1064/drive28mh.gif

It doesn`t darken it any does it? This truck is brand new (and unfortunately sitting in a salty Cameron Dock with ZERO paint protection!)

Try Leatherique Pristine Clean...its meant for non-finished leather.
