Haha, just joking guys. I had some friends come in from Denver on Saturday, and I surprised them to day with a exterior detail on their 1999 Silverado. There were some really weird lines going up the hood that looked like worn paint. Now that was half the problem, as the hood looked like the paint was chipping up and cracking.

Processes were:

SSR 2.5 on a cutting pad, with the PC on 6

SSR 2 on polishing pad, PC on 5

NXT on a finishing pad, PC on 2

Chrome didn`t need any work, since it was pretty much gone.

Tires got some Turtle Wax L2Z? Its in a neon green bottle. Trim was also treated in that stuff. Works good, I tried it on the car`s leather, and it actually made it rather supple.

No before pictures, but it was really amazing at the difference. :)

Paint & plastic look excellent. What`s Turtle Wax L2Z? Is it the reflection on the tires or did they come out blotchy and uneven?

Steve, you are doing some good work there. Considering the size of that thing it would have taken some time too.

Looks good. That must have been fun to pay for gas from Denver to Winnipeg.

lol I like your new sig. Most people won`t understand it though. And it`s a quote from the Mazda forum, not Maxima. :)

Well heres a update.

It really didn`t take long this time. I was work in uber mode, so it took me around 2 hours to complete. I was having lots of problems with it bloching on the paint, and then leaving streaks, but thats probably due to the massive amount of rain we`ve had this last month.

The owner of the truck was very grateful of the work, but he`s not one of those guys that would openly admit to it.

Buellwinkle: They were fresh and I hadn`t wiped the dressing down yet, and still haven`t. Surprisingly, that stuff actually will drip off, and then look very even.

Scott: I thought of you when I made this thread. :p No, not because of the work, but because of the pictures. :)

Thanks everyone.

Nope, I used nearly a whole bottle of dressing on the car. I have to save enough for a paying detail tomorrow. I`m still waiting on my shipment of products to come in.

Whoa, speak of the devil, I just received my gallon of SSR 2.5, ounce of SSR3, some natural loook, and trim restorer. :)
