I just thought I`d brag.

Today I did a NEW (437miles) MB S65 AMG V12 Biturbo.

You may know the specs better than I, but 640 (?) HP, and 750 fp Torque? Wow.

Black, of course.

Kinda cool that he brought it to me so soon. I told him it was the best paint I`d ever worked on,

and he quickly said: "It better be."

I heard $234,000. Boggles the mind.

$234,000. And they bring it to me. Very Cool.

Why no pics? Pacers player.

Sweet.

Jim

tdekany, you saw the `disclaimer`, tho. Right?

I do several cars for various members of the Pacers and Colts... putting their cars on the internet is not in anyone`s best interest... I suppose I could do some closeups, but....

Wow Jim.

Seeing this vehicle up close and personal (my neighbor ...college student...has one...the SL65). Truly a stunning machine. The officers at school give him special parking spots :).

Might I ask what you used to polish out that hard CeramiClear paint?

I`d take it in the twisties.

:p

Awesome car to work on. I`d love to ride in one just to feel how Benz made the car handle att the torque with comfort.

The write up I read about that car said that the engine is capable of 1000 foot pounds but they don`t have a tranny to handle that kind of torque. It went on to say that when they do have one that`s capable the wick will be turned up. It`s anybody`s guess just how much though.

:nixweiss The Zaino Mobile Detail guy in Dallas does some of the Cowboy`s cars and not only does he post the pics on his site but who owns them. Maybe he has some kind of deal with them to use their names.

I bet that car was fun to do. :xyxthumbs

The ngine did look like that, but right in the center of that vee, replacing the star, is a small (signed) plaque indicating the machine was `handcrafted` ... :)

Did he get some options? I suppose (who knew?). For example, 19" graphite AMG wheels, while 18" appears to be `stock`.. I heard only 100 made it to the USA...

A friend of mine has a SL65, in red, and has had it chipped so it`s now pushing out 652bhp. His charge cooler has packed up though so it`s only putting out the same power as a 55AMG at the moment.

The car is also electronically limited to 700-750 lb ft due to the gearbox not being able to handle the potential 1000 lb ft (somebody has mentioned this already).

Personally I`d save the £50,000 and take the SL55 which still strugges to cope with the power it produces...
