Well, it is official. The black `99 4Runner has been retired. And in its place has come the black `05 Z71 Tahoe :cool: . It has all the bells and whistles...navigation, DVD, sunroof, dual climate, 2nd row buckets, 3rd row seating, etc., etc. It has been an extreme pleasure so far.



It`s been a very hectic week, and my girlfriend left for Dallas for two weeks in it today, so I did a quick clean-up on it before she left.



As of now, the only mod is tint.



Process:



Simple Green 8:1 on wheels/tires/wells/trim

NXT wash

AIO by hand on front end

Pinnacle Souveran

Zaino Z16 on tires



Before tint and clean-up

Mods planned...brushed billet Bowtie for the front, cold air intake (gas mileage help), and JL stealth box setup.

Looks like my tint, guessing 20%? Looks awesome, love Souveran on a tahoe.

Lookin` good....you should try spit-shining the Souveran.



I did it to half of my car, with a fresh coat of P21S on the other half (not spit-shined), and it`s noticeably more durable. Normally P21S and Souveran seem to have about the same durability in my experiences.

whats the tint? I have to go to 35 and im trying to see what its gonna look like, Any one have pics? Looks good.

35% on my dads

20% on mine mine it taken later in the day so it looks darker then normal

The tint is 20% on the front windows and 20% layered over the rear factory tinted glass, which works out to about 8%.

Very nice vehicle.....I have a client who just bought a white one....He wants it zaino`d. I have it scheduled for next Monday. I hope it comes out as well as yours:up

Random question, but is light filtration on the tint layering strictly additional or logarithmic like sound or something else? Dunno why I`m asking, but never thought about light filtering in this context...

thanx. it will look interesting to have the back 2 20% and the front 2 35% on my camry... Guess we will see...
