was told that this was the place to get advice from the real professionals...

hoping you guys can help me out....

i have a 1999 rio red cobra, very good condition, very minimal spider marks, very little fading..

the car is not garaged, and is daily driven....

am looking for a line up of products that will protect my finish, and brighten it up (the products Ive found for red cars suggest it will darken appearance of finish ie: souveran carnuaba, clearkote RMG)

will eventually invest in a porter cable, in the meanwhile planning on doing this all by hand....

so far this is what im looking at:

basic clay and wash, followed by

1)Menzerna IP 16oz $14 (or 32oz $23)

2)Menzerna FPII Final Polish 16oz $14 (32oz $24)

3)ClearKote Vanilla Moose (Hand Glaze) $11.95 -

4)ClearKote Carnuaba Moose Wax $17.95

5)S100 carnuaba wax $16.95

hoping this will give me adequate protection, depth shine and luster....

does it get much better than this for what im looking for?

have been told it would be ideal to let the ClearKote CMW sit for 24 hours before applying the S100?

assuming everything else can be done without any curing time?

have not been able to find alot of info on the menzerna, was only told its a top notch product...

thanks guys, really appreciate any insight/advice.... :up

dont bother with the polishes #1 & #2 if it will be done by hand

the rest looks ok

AIO

poorboys EX-P

or

Meg`s Color X

EX or EX-P

would also probably look pretty good too and help clean up any oxidation. Poorboys natty`s paste wax is a good topper. Looks alot like s100 IMHO, but lasts longer

LJ- thanks for the input...

so your saying to replace the Menzerna with either EXP and/or AIO?

have heard AIO is a good product but isn`t very durable....

have always played around with `over the counter` products and have done ok, but would like to go the `underground; route :D

another concern is where to buy all these products, would be nice to get everything at one place....

thx again man-

I own a Ford 02 F150 Supercrew in red as a non-garaged daily driver. I only used the DACP once when the truck was new and the SFP is all that is needed now. The AIO & SG was reapplied at the beginning of the summer and I just keep topping it with S100 every few weeks.

Favorite combo is:

Megs DACP #83 x PC

Megs SFP #82 x PC

Klasse AIO x hand or PC

Klasse SG x 2 x hand

S100 x hand

reapply S100 every few weeks

All that by hand huh? You`re gonna have one REALLY tired arm (or set of arms). :)

I would do this combo by hand (easier on the arm :) )
