I need to clean out a trigger spray bottle that WAS holding interior dressing and refill with a different chemical.

I tried using APC and hot water rinse , but there`s still a faint smell of the original dressing.

Any suggestions on how to safely and effectively clean this bottle?

I`d just try another shot or two of the APC. Maybe you can get in there with a pipe cleaner if you have them. Rinse extra thoroughly.

Thanks for the response , Bill.

The reason I ask is because it`s a good sprayer.

I was using it for trim dressing , but decided it wasn`t best suited for that purpose.

And since it was kind of pricey , I don`t want to just discard it.

After several washes with all kinds of cleaners , the smell still remains and I don`t want to chance mixing the wrong chemicals.

I should probably err on the side of caution and just use it for APC.

Anyway , if you`re interested , these sprayers are called Double Mist and can be found at animal supply stores or online ; keyword "Double Mist trigger sprayer" with Google. Orange bottles , chemical resistant sprayer , adjustable spray pattern, one squeeze of the trigger produces two mists of product . Takes a little getting used to.

Very well built. Worth looking into, I believe.

Thanks again.
