Megs #16 or P21S Paste Wax

Guys what do you think would give the best deep wet look and make the metalic flakes pop on a silverish light grey car.

In my eyes they both give very alike look, not much between them, both take on the look off whats below them. I much prefer P21s though for ease off use.

I have to add an asterisk to my vote:



My vote was based on the assumption that P21S is extremely similar to S100 (if not the same product).



#16 and S100/P21S are very high-quality waxes and you honestly can`t go wrong with either one of them. I find S100/P21S to be a tad deeper and wetter, while #16 provides slightly more "pop".



My tiebreaker goes to the ease-of-use factor. S100/P21S is almost fool-proof...no matter how much you use or how long you let it set, it will come right off with 1 or 2 swipes. #16 is just not as forgiving...its easy to remove if you apply really thin layers, but can be a slight workout if you use too much or let is sit too long (probably a reason why it has great durability for wax).

I`ve only used #16 and it gave my 10yr old white paint a very nice wet look. I didn`t find it hard to use (very light applications) and it is going strong after 2 month and still beading like crazy. Seeing as how it last so long one can of #16 will last over a year easy.

I find that #16 reflects a little more than P21S and might show thoes metalic flakes better(slightly). Since you said deep shine then I have to say P21S is slightly better than #16. #16 will last longer than P21S, but its harder to apply and remove. Either way you go you`ll be happy with both products.

Not even close. P21S is more reflective, has a better finish, far easier to apply, and from my experience almost as durable as #16.

I have not used #16, the P21S is very easy to use but I think Blitz is a better wax

Neither of them:



Collinite 845 (IW) looks in my eyes almost as shiny as S100 (accepted as P21S clone), it is also as easy to apply and will absolutely murder S100 in durability. If I really had to pick, I would take #16.

THanks guys, I am not to bothered about durability, as long as it lasts a month thats fine, as I rewax once a month.



So just that deep wet shine and pop for me.

I have both 16 and P21S (actually S100). Ease of use goes to S100. Durability and insane beading to #16. On my silver #16 is more reflective and S100 is wetter.

The man has a point, in my tests this has looked as good as Souveran which has had the edge on s100/p21s for me.

For the overall look, I`d choose P21S (if you don`t mind the higher price). I agree with SilverLexus on the first 3 points; however I`ve found the durability of #16 FAR better. If you`d like to consider a similar wax to #16 (which smells better, too, IMHO), I`d recommend Blitz.

A lot of good people say that but in testing the two waxes on my car and my wife`s after a good surface prep I did not find that. They lasted about the same.



Honestly, I don`t place as much emphasis on durability either since the Atlanta weather is great and I love waxing my car.
